Mushraff dual office petition dismissed

The Courts have spoken in the Mushraff case. It seems that the judiciary is back to its old tricks again, after a brief interlude. Its sad for Pakistan as Justice Wajihuddin rightly articulated . Legally speaking, the separation of armed forces from civilian rule is the very bedrock, the essence of our Constitution and democracy. This fundamental principle of our Constitutionand the articles of the Constitution carries much more weight than any PCO or regulation subsequently enacted by a self-serving amendment.
