Lahore weeps again!!

Almost a month ago Lahore went into tears on the Ahmedi carnage. Yesterday the screams were even louder when three suicide bombers exploded themselves at always crowded Data Darbar. One place which Lahori’s hold very dear to them. This is not just a suicide attack, not just lost of lives and infrastructure. It is an assault on the heart of Lahore and Lahori’s. It is stabbing someone not in the back but in the front.
The efforts of militants to create rift between different sects within our nation will bring little good to them and their efforts to sabotage the rehab and peace-building process will never succeed. Our message to them:
“You may bring down a few buildings and take away a few lives but you will never take our liberty to choose away from us. We stood together as a nation when you attacked our Ahmedi country-men. We still stand together when you attacked our fellowmen countrymen at Data Darbaar. We will not give up. We will exhaust you in your efforts to conquer us but you never will. Rest assured.”
IL-Pakistan team stands up for Lahori’s and everyone who has ever been affected by these frantic militants. We urge our readers to join us in this crusade against violence and brutality.

The attack on the shrine in Lahore was an attack on the heart of Lahore. Many of the devotees have been left in sheer pain and hurt. What is important is that the devotees of the shrine remain peaceful and do not crate any agitation by inviting others to avenge this brutal attack.

I stand up for my lahori brothers and sisters. I realize their pain. We must eradicate terrorist because sooner or later we could be a victim of their actions as well. Lets not sit and watch.

Good blog post. Its sad to see how so much time has passed but yet we cannot respect the minorities and promote religious tolerance. This violence is only benefiting the Taliban and other such organizations.

  4. Sadia Hussain says:

The tragic incident of Lahore is a sad reminder of the fact that our society is infected with extremist elements. These attacks are not on a sect or ideology these attacks are on our values of tolerance, democracy and the Sufi preaching’s of pluralism.
